Epileptic seizure is a common, well-known complication occurring after head trauma. A craniocerebral injury is defined as damage to both the skull and brain resulting from such a force that exceeded the adaptive capacity of the head. The substrate for the onset of an epileptic seizure is inappropriate or excessive bioelectrical activity of the brain.
