A pacemaker, is also called a cardiac pacemaker (cardiostimulator) and can be used in patients temporarily (it is responsible for stimulation in emergency and dangerous situations) or permanently (the pacemaker is implanted in the patient).
Its function is to stimulate the heart electrically. The pacemaker consists of a battery, an electronic circuit and electrodes. It is responsible for monitoring and controlling the function of the heart muscle and triggering impulses when necessary. The type of stimulation is decided by the doctor on the basis of the examination and the patient's condition.
