What does fish meat provide?

Fish meat contains many vitamins and trace elements. First of all, due to its high fat content, fish contains a considerable supply of fat-soluble vitamins - A, D, E, K. Moreover, they are a rich source of phosphorus, sulphur, potassium, as well as meeting the demand for zinc, copper and manganese. In addition, they provide unsaturated fatty acids, such as Omega-3 and Omega-6. Acids from the omega family are considered to be effective in the fight against cholesterol, prevent cancer and are also considered to delay the ageing process. According to cardiologists, fish such as mackerel, salmon and tuna should frequently appear on our tables.

Soya

Soya is one of the legumes that contains a high proportion of easily digestible complete protein. It contains in its composition such vitamins as B1, B2, B6, folic acid, vitamin K. The proportion of other fat-soluble vitamins is low. According to research conducted by scientists, soya has an anti-atherosclerotic effect, lowers blood cholesterol levels, counteracts heart disease and is recommended for women entering menopause.

Which to choose?

There is really no clear-cut answer. Both soya and fish provide nutritional value. However, there is no doubt that over-fishing contributes to the decline of fish. Fish farmed by large-scale fish farming companies are given stimulants to speed up their growth. So the choice remains with each individual.
