During the summer, many of us want our skin to be tanned. To get a beautiful and, above all, healthy tan, we need to tan gradually. Then we will get an even skin tone.
Preparing for tanning
Before the first tanning session, you can take advantage of several visits to a solarium, which will prepare your skin for the sun. Remember to choose the length of tanning according to your complexion type. Going too long can be counterproductive.
Approximately 20-30 minutes before sunbathing, a sunscreen should be rubbed into the skin to create a barrier against UV radiation. This contains physical as well as chemical filters to protect our skin. Physical filters - pigment and mineral filters reflect and scatter UV radiation. Chemical filters include organic compounds that absorb and scatter UV radiation, mainly UV B radiation.
How do protective creams work?
Sun lotions not only protect the skin, but also moisturise it. They have an anti-ageing effect (protect against photo-ageing), regenerate and firm the skin. Each cream has an SPF (Sun Protection Factor) rating. This most often indicates the degree of protection against UV B radiation, which is more dangerous to our skin than UV A.
Suncare products should be water-resistant, easily absorbed and have a broad spectrum of action. They should not leave a greasy film. Lotions contain vitamins A, E, C, antioxidant plant extracts, as well as radiation protectants such as PABA acid.
