Today's medicine is equipped with possibilities that are able to help people with cancer. The available drugs and treatments may prolong patients' lives, but unfortunately may cause other risks, e.g. to the circulatory system. Toxicity can occur at various times during and after treatment and can cause a variety of symptoms. Continuous monitoring of the patient's condition is therefore important.

It is extremely important to monitor the patient's vascular status during and after oncological treatment. This uses, among other things, tests such as:

  • An interview conducted with the patient about his/her well-being and complaints,
  • Physical examination,
  • ECG examination,
  • Holter ECG examination,
  • Chest X-ray,
  • ECHO examination,
  • Exercise test,
  • Indicator enzyme testing: ASP, ALT, LDH[6]

The incidence of cancer is increasing. More and more people have to deal with them. The way and course of treatment depends on the individual, their additional burdens and comorbidities. Doctors have a wide range of options in therapy and in monitoring the patient's condition during anti-cancer treatment.
