When we make wishes to each other, the most common words are: "I wish you health". So what is health and how do we understand it?
Health is often the highest value for us, ranking higher than wealth in the hierarchy of values. It is also a resource with which we can realise our goals and plans. There is no single definition of health, it is a multidimensional concept because of the holistic approach to the human being, because of the scientific discipline that undertakes the formulation of such a definition, and because of all the cultural factors.[1]
The World Health Organisation (WHO) definition states that health is not just a state without ailments. This definition goes wider, as it says that we can only call health full well-being (biological, mental and social). Another definition of health also points out that in addition to being a state without disease, it is also a certain system of positive qualities that help a person to achieve his or her goals.[2]
Considering the biological realm, health is a state of the body where all structures and systems are functioning properly.[3]

Health considered as a state of normality and normal functioning of the organism, points to a biomedical model that bases its definition on pathology as the other pole of health (health-disease). This concept is now considered a negative concept due to defining health through the lens of the absence of pathology.
