MRI

In psychiatry, diagnoses are mainly made on the basis of a psychiatric examination, i.e. a targeted interview with the patient. Various procedures, such as the determination of thyroid hormone concentrations in the blood, are also performed, however, far less frequently than in other specialities. What about imaging tests? Psychiatrists are, despite appearances to the contrary, also ordering them, and it is possible that in future they will significantly facilitate psychiatric diagnoses.
