Undoubtedly one of the most important diseases of the female organs is inflammation of the appendages (we include the ovaries and fallopian tubes), which in 70% occurs asymptomatically or with lower abdominal pain, usually associated with other complaints.

If outpatient treatment is unsuccessful and the complaints accompanying the inflammation intensify, then the patient is referred to hospital treatment. Untreated or untreated inflammation of the appendages takes the form of a chronic condition in which complaints recur with greater intensity.

With chronic inflammation of the appendages, adhesions may develop. These are scars that may prevent a woman from becoming pregnant or may contribute to ectopic pregnancy. Treatment of adhesions is possible, but not always fully effective, with: sanatorium therapy with mud treatments, surgical removal of adhesions and topical irradiation.

Prevention is easier than cure, so take care of yourself especially on cold days, during which it is easy to catch a cold, get your shoes wet or "freeze". The coldness of the intimate area promotes the growth of bacteria and increases the risk of inflammation of the ovaries and fallopian tubes.

In addition to dressing warmly, it is important to take care of personal hygiene by using suitable cleansers specifically designed for the intimate area.

It is also important to treat infections that are not related to the ovaries, such as tonsillitis, "on an ongoing basis", so that there is no risk of bacteria circulating through the body and eventually infecting the appendages. After a history of inflammation of the appendages, the risk should not be underestimated as the condition tends to recur.
