Infection with the protozoan parasite Lamblia intestinalis (lambliosis) is a common problem in Poland. It is estimated that in our country, lambliosis may occur in up to 20% of children, although only a small proportion of them have complaints about it. This article summarises the current state of knowledge on factors contributing to infection, symptoms and principles of diagnosis and treatment of lambliosis.
