Leukopenia is a condition in which a patient has a decrease in the number of white blood cells, or leukocytes, in the blood. The problem may be completely asymptomatic, but it is nevertheless serious, as it can significantly increase the risk of infection. What could be the causes of leukopenia and how is it treated?
