Midwife visit after birth

Meningo-spinal hernia and hydrocephalus are some of the dysraphic defects, i.e. defects that result from abnormal closure of the neural tube. On average, these defects occur in 1 child in 1,000 worldwide and in Poland in 2 in 1,000. Meningo-spinal hernia and hydrocephalus are often comorbid defects, both of which can be treated surgically.
