There is no perfect pill to treat sleep disorders. These drugs most often work for a limited period of time due to the development of tolerance to them, have addictive potential or alter the structure of sleep so much that the sleepiness induced by them does not resemble physiological sleep. The most common sleep disorder encountered by clinicians is insomnia. The largest number of publications on non-pharmacological methods of management have also been devoted to it.
