Tom Sawyer, Mr Samochodzik, Indiana Jones - these are the most famous treasure hunters whose adventures every child has eagerly followed, dreaming of playing their role. Now it is possible, thanks to a new form of tourism accessible to the whole family: questing. So far, more than 50 quests have been created in Poland, i.e. unmarked trails through which one can discover the treasures of a given region: its tradition, culture and major attractions.

An example of strong involvement of young people in discovering their region is the largest Polish questing project entitled "Bałtów - the Polish capital of questing". Over the course of several months, 20 young volunteers were involved in exploring the cultural and historical heritage of Bałtów, and together with representatives of agrotourism farms they created 20 different quests.

At the end of July, the 10 best of them were tested and in autumn they will be available to all fans of this innovative form of tourism.

Questing = education Questing also has an educational dimension. Through play, children learn about the world around them, and thanks to the attractively guided narration of quests and emotional involvement in the adventure, they remember information about a given place more easily. Thus, questing contributes to consolidating knowledge about the region or saving local legends and stories from oblivion.

Every young person fascinated by the idea of questing can join the Explorers' Club. It is a place for active adventurers who identify with their own place and want to further promote this form of tourism.
