If a patient wishes to be reimbursed for orthopaedic products, he or she should go to an authorised person as referred to in Article 2(14) of the Reimbursement Act. An authorised person is a person with the right to practice a medical profession who, on the basis of the regulations governing the practice of the medical profession concerned, is authorised to issue prescriptions in accordance with the Act and the Act of 6 September 2001.
