In spite of increasingly sophisticated colour matching systems, it is sometimes impossible to determine a satisfactory shade, despite performing repeated test sprays. Getting the right colour is not an easy matter, especially with vintage cars or oldtimers. Even new car manufacturers sometimes enter the wrong code, which can confuse the refinisher.
