Sarcoidosis is a disease that affects various tissues of the body. The inflammation that occurs due to the developing disease can occur in virtually any organ. Most commonly, sarcoidosis begins to develop in the lungs or lymph nodes. It is characterised by a sudden onset as well as a sudden cessation of symptoms. Although the symptoms may resolve quickly, the disease must not be underestimated.
