Side effects, often also called adverse reactions, are problems caused by intensive anticancer treatment. The most common cause of them is damage to healthy cells.

The immediate duration of side effects depends on the patient's general condition and the type of chemotherapy, but most side effects disappear after completion, but be aware that some, however, may last for several months or even years.
