Commonly known as spider veins, these are nothing more than dilated blood vessels. The skin of the face, due to its relatively shallow vascularisation, is unfortunately the ideal place for the lesions to appear. People who are characterised by the presence of sensitive and thin skin are prone to the appearance of a network of blood vessels, or spider veins. Factors favouring the appearance of spider veins include UV light accompanying excessive sunbathing, but also wind, cold or genetic predisposition.

How to deal with them?

First and foremost, good skin care is important. The use of micellar lotions, specially formulated for sensitive skin, is recommended for removing make-up from the face. It is recommended to avoid very hot baths and the use of strongly foaming cosmetics, which further irritate the skin. During hot, sunny days, it is recommended to use sunscreen creams to reduce the risk of skin irritation. The creams should contain moisturising substances and soothe irritation. In addition, the addition of vitamins K and PP has a positive effect on the skin. Evening primrose oil and rose oil are recommended for reducing hyperpigmentation.

The right make-up matters too!

Make-up for vascular skin should begin with the application of a suitable moisturising cream as a base. Only after protecting the skin in this way, apply a foundation with a UV filter. To cover up red areas, it is advisable to use a concealer which will eliminate the red marks.
