Sunstroke, is a variant of heatstroke and occurs as a result of severe overheating of the body.

Ad:

It islife-threatening and dangerous for people of all ages (but especially for children and the elderly). The first symptoms of sunstroke should never be underestimated, especially if they do not disappear but worsen. It is necessary to transport the patient to hospital or call an ambulance.

Sunstroke can occur in people who have been in hot, unventilated and steamy rooms for a long time, when they are exposed to high levels of sunlight, during hot weather (while walking, cycling or playing) and in hot climates.

Thus, the direct cause of sunstroke is prolonged exposure to the sun, which consequently leads to problems and disturbances in the proper functioning of the thermoregulation centre. This leads to excessive electrolyte loss and dehydration. Attention should also be paid to clothing (too warm, unsexy, artificial clothing) and insufficient fluid intake.
