In the long term, such behaviour can result in conflict, social isolation or loss of credibility. Fortunately, there are healthy ways to recognise and balance this trait, turning it into an asset instead of a disadvantage. In this article, we will look at what overconfidence is, its causes and effects, and how it can be worked on by using self-regulation techniques, developing empathy and building emotional balance. The aim is not to eliminate self-confidence, but to channel it in a healthy way.
