Systemic therapy, family therapy, couple therapy, marriage therapy..., they all share a common understanding of the family as a system of dynamically interconnected parts that influence each other. There are no individual faulty parts, instead the psychotherapist works with this system as a whole and makes each of its members co-responsible for the difficulties reported. This is a strand that can use interventions typical of different theoretical schools for the improvement of marital relationships or the treatment of disorders in children or adolescents.
