European Antibiotic Awareness Day (EDWA) is celebrated every year on 18 November. The day was established in 2008 by the European Commission at the request of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control. This year's edition aims to promote the rational use of antibiotics to both the public and medical professionals.
