Blood

Custom-made cosmeceuticals are no longer a novelty, but a serum prepared from your own blood...?! A more personal specificity is probably impossible to imagine! The cream called Methode Celljeunesse is already used in Western European countries. It entered Poland in October 2009. It is a fully personalised cream/serum - made from the patient's own blood and, as the manufacturers assure us, a true "natural cocktail of youth" for the skin.

The Ticeba* laboratory has been researching the use of stem cells and fibroblasts in skin regeneration for the past four years. The latest work is being carried out in the direction of non-invasively supporting the skin with 'rejuvenated' cells. A specific youth serum containing only natural, patient-derived polypeptides and growth factors is built from a blood sample taken from the patient. In the form of a cream, this "elixir of youth" can be applied to the skin of the face, neck, décolleté and hands.

"Methode Celljeunesse has an extremely powerful regenerating and rejuvenating effect on the skin. The important thing is that these substances of organic origin, penetrate deep into the skin - their effect is therefore not superficial. This is particularly evident, for example, in the treatment of deep wrinkles, scars or other advanced skin problems." - said at the 9th International Congress of Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine, Dr. med. Christopher Ganss of the Ticeba Laboratory in Heidelberg.

- "The product represents an innovative method of skin care - both from the point of view of aesthetic medicine and dermatology. The cream has of course been clinically tested, so we know that it is hypoallergenic and safe. As it is derived from the patient's own blood, each jar of this substance is slightly different and entirely tailored to the needs of the 'patient'." - he argues.

How the serum is made

The aesthetic practitioner takes the patient's blood and sends it to a specialised laboratory in Heidelberg, where it undergoes processes to extract the most valuable factors for the skin, multiply them and, after adding factors to help overcome the skin barrier, put them into the cream. This cream contains no preservatives or fragrances, only personalised ingredients that penetrate deep into the skin and stimulate its regeneration.

Medical description of the process

SERMS works by relying on two active agents: a natural biological carrier isolated using patented technology from marine flora, and autologous peptides and growth factors isolated from the patient's own blood. The entire process takes approximately four weeks. This 'elixir of youth' can be applied to the skin of the face, neck, décolleté and hands for a period of three months.

Molecular biotechnology, used by the TICEBA Laboratory, allows, on the one hand, the isolation and multiplication of autologous growth factors, i.e. substances responsible for wound healing and skin regeneration, and on the other hand, the preparation of these substances by means of nanotechnology, so that they can penetrate into the skin. This has the advantage of providing the skin with a constant, long-lasting supply of active substances.
