The results of the study show a high prevalence of anxiety among patients after a recent myocardial infarction, bypass or angioplasty. In the group under 55 years of age, as many as 40% of respondents experienced anxiety, and 19% of respondents showed symptoms of moderate to severe anxiety. However, anxiety levels decrease significantly with cardiac rehabilitation combined with exercise.
