The extraction of a tooth is associated with a significant loss of bone, due to prior cutting of the gum. The healing process of the tissues in such a case takes a long time, moreover, the gum and bone undergo considerable atrophy in the process. By using the atraumatic tooth extraction technique, tissue disturbance is reduced to a minimum, which is extremely important for the subsequent treatment (including prosthetics).
