Recently, our editorial team received a distinction from the FEMS Foundation - a symbolic angel statuette that adorns a shelf in our editorial office. Every time we look at it, we are reminded of the important work the FEMS Foundation does and the importance of publishing oncology-related content, including about blood cancers. Our sincere thanks for such a kind gesture.

The FEMS Foundation is an international non-profit organisation dedicated to the fight against blood cancers and other blood-forming diseases. This year marked its 15th anniversary.

- 1.9 million donors have just registered with the FEMS Foundation, and more than 13 000 of them have already donated marrow or haematopoietic stem cells to save the life of a 'genetic twin'. All this would not have been possible if it were not for the commitment of the friends of the FEMS Foundation - the media, popular figures and the medical community, as well as donors and patients. The 15th anniversary is the perfect time to take stock of the achievements and recall the moments that have been written among the thousands of stories of second life. - says Ewa Magnucka - Bowkiewicz, President of the FEMS Foundation.

We are happy that together we can raise such important, sometimes very difficult, but socially necessary topics.
