Children always suffer the most in wars orchestrated by adults, and it is they who will bear the responsibility for rebuilding a world devastated by the conflagration of war. The crisis in Syria has not only claimed hundreds of thousands of innocent lives and irretrievably destroyed world heritage sites, but has also destabilised the entire region. Many African countries, too, are still mired in endless conflict, with their people, including children, sometimes travelling thousands of kilometres and incurring huge costs in the hope of finding peace and normality.
