The occurrence of depression in pregnancy poses serious therapeutic problems related to the limited possibilities of using antidepressants during pregnancy. Particular attention should be paid to patients treated for depression prior to pregnancy, each case of pregnancy complicated by depression must be considered individually - a careful analysis and selection of pharmacological therapy should be made so that the risk of its use is lower than the possible events resulting from the patient's depression.
