Pregnant woman

Pregnant women, especially those in the first trimester experience dizziness. As pregnancy is a special condition for the woman and her family, they report to the doctor to determine the cause of the dizziness.

For most pregnant women, they are caused by significant, sudden drops in blood pressure. They occur during a change of body position (e.g. rising quickly from bed) or making too rapid movements. Dizziness may be accompanied by fainting, nausea, vomiting and problems with balance. This symptom may also persist during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. This is an individual issue for each woman. Dizziness and other symptoms of concern to the mother-to-be should be brought to the attention of the attending physician.
