Research has shown that in people who are jealous of their partners, Facebook use increases jealousy.

The study involved 308 people, most of whom were in a steady relationship. Each study participant used the portal for an average of 40 minutes a day, with women using it significantly longer than men. Participants were asked to indicate their level of je alousy on a scale of one to seven.

It turned out that women who spend more time on Facebook compared to men indicated a higher level of jealousy than the opposite sex. In addition, those who were jealous of their partner showed a tendency to be more controlling of their partner's Facebook activity, which further increases jealousy.

Social networks have many advantages, but it is important to remember to use them sensibly.
