It exhibits a very high sensitivity to oestrogens and gestagens, so that it undergoes constant changes with a woman's monthly cycle. Polish scientists have discovered that the endometrium is a vast source of mature stem cells. For what purpose can these cells be used? Does this represent a breakthrough in the treatment of selected diseases?
