The beneficial health effects of flavonoid compounds - if only that they reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease - have been mentioned for a long time. These substances are of interest to many scientists, and one of those who undertook research on flavonoids was scientists from Edith Cowan University in Australia. They conducted analyses, the results of which indicate that an adequate amount of the aforementioned compounds in the diet can significantly reduce the risk of cancer incidence and death.
