Spanish researchers have shown that coffee grounds are a rich source of antioxidants and substances that are valuable to human health. They should therefore not be thrown away. When coffee is prepared in a coffee machine, for example, an enormous amount of antioxidants are released. They play a very important role in the body and should therefore be supplied regularly. These compounds are very easy to extract and should be used as additives in food products. Importantly, attempts are being made to use them as ingredients in pharmaceutical products.
