It is well known that an important clinical problem in the treatment of epilepsy is drug resistance , as well as the course of the disease in terms of periods of improvement and worsening. The study included 144 patients, with a mean follow-up period of 37 years , and the prerequisite for qualification into the group was the occurrence of a first epileptic seizure before the age of 16.
