  • Approximately 22 - 30% of pregnant women drink alcohol during pregnancy.
  • When asked directly the question - "Do you drink during pregnancy?" - 100% of those asked deny it. Perhaps they are ashamed of their inappropriate behaviour and do not consider the beer they drink to be alcohol.
  • It is worth asking about the way and style of drinking before pregnancy or at a time when the woman did not know she was pregnant.
  • 85% of women know that drinking during pregnancy can bring harm to the baby.
  • 0.5% of pregnant women drink alcohol daily (addicted).
  • 4 - 7% of pregnant women drink alcohol two to three times a week.
  • 5% of pregnant women drink alcohol several times a month.
  • 10% of pregnant women drink alcohol several times during pregnancy.
  • About 70% of women do not drink alcohol completely from the moment they find out they are pregnant.
  • 2 - 5% of pregnant women indicate that others encouraged them to drink alcohol (beer and wine) were: friends, family, doctors.
