According to a recent Mayo Clinic study published in the October issue of Archives of Neurology, immediate relatives of people with Parkinson's disease are at greater risk of developing cognitive impairment or dementia than those whose first-line relatives (brother, sister, mother, father, son, daughter) do not have the condition.
