In Rzeszów, on Trzeciego Maja Street, a centre created for mentally tormented women was officially opened yesterday (5 September). It was set up by the Natural Medicine Foundation New Life and Health. The Foundation is staffed by a psychologist and volunteers. Women are admitted free of charge. The centre already has 18 wards.

Women who are mentally tormented face great difficulties in obtaining legal assistance. The police usually demand evidence of the harassment. They deal with physical abuse because it can be proven by a medical examination. And psychological abuse is difficult to prove.
