Neuroborreliosis is a disease of the nervous system caused by Borrelia burgdorferi spirochetes. As a result of infection with them, a strong inflammatory process develops in the nervous tissue. The bacteria enter the human body after being bitten by an infected tick. The symptoms of the disease are characteristic of the different stages of the disease. The most common include pain in the locomotor system, mild depression, muscle tremors, root pains, flaccid paresis, tingling and numbness of the skin, hypersensitivity of the skin to stimuli, headache, nausea, vomiting, fever, photophobia, neck stiffness, convulsions, encephalitis, concentration problems and impaired consciousness.
