Wearing masks has had a significant impact on people's lives over the past year and a half, the effects of which scientists have yet to discover. A team led by Monica Gori of the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) has published a study showing that children aged three to five have difficulty recognising emotions in people who have their face covered.
