Symptoms and courseThe main symptoms of Alzheimer's disease are impaired cognitive function, as well as sensory and sensory perception. People with the condition have impaired intellectual and physical fitness. In order to strengthen the overall fitness of the Alzheimer's patient, individual rehabilitation is used. During exercise, muscle strength is strengthened, the range of movement in the joints is increased and circulation is improved.

Physical therapy tips:
- the duration of the classes should be about half an hour,
- start with simple movements and progress to more complex ones,
- it is a good idea to take breaks every few minutes to improve your breathing,
- in the case of balance disorders, exercises should be done in lying or sitting position,
- eye-hand coordination exercises should also be included in the rehabilitation programme,
- the therapy should be completed with muscle relaxation and breathing control - autogenic Schulz training or Jacobson's progressive relaxation can be used.
Examples of exercises:
- the patient sits on a chair and lifts alternately toes and heels, then - both feet,
- patient stands in front of the chair and puts left foot on the chair, then - right foot,
- the patient lies on his back and performs a hip lift movement.
