Particular attention was paid to Omega-3 fatty acids, which play a significant role in the prevention of heart disease as they significantly reduce triglyceride levels and blood pressure. They have also been shown to have a stabilising effect on heart function.

It is recommended to eat one to two fish a week or to include omega acid supplements in your diet in the amounts specified by your doctor. These acids also have an anti-inflammatory effect. Canola oil and olive oil are also sources of unsaturated fatty acids.
