The causes of cancer have not yet been clearly defined, as the process of cancer formation is a long-term one characterised by a multitude of cause-and-effect relationships. Nevertheless, some factors are known that have an obvious carcinogenic effect and others that are beneficial to health.
7. Get enough sleep
Sleep is an essential component of our health. It allows the body to recover from an active day and enables physiological processes such as hormonal regulation to take place, which in turn benefits the immune system and overall body condition. Studies have confirmed that people who got less than six hours of sleep per night over several years were at increased risk of developing cancer.

8. Avoid too much sun
Skin cancer is one of the most common types of cancer, but also one of the easiest to avoid. Moderation in sunbathing and the use of protective measures is the best way to avoid this type of cancer.
9. Make use of preventive examinations
Most types of cancer when detected at an early stage offer a very good chance of cure. Remember to have regular check-ups, even if you do not notice symptoms of the disease.
10. Avoid unnecessary radiation
X-rays and other rays emitted during diagnostic imaging have been linked to an increased risk of certain cancers. This does not mean, of course, that these valuable diagnostic methods should be abandoned altogether. Most often, their value is many times greater than the possible side effects. However, care should be taken to ensure that radiation is taken in moderation and only when necessary.
