What reduces the development of cancer?
Eating plenty of fruit and vegetables, mainly in their raw state, reduces the incidence of cancers of the lung, mouth, larynx, pancreas, oesophagus, stomach, colon, bladder, cervix, as proven by numerous studies.
Adiet rich in whole grains reduces the incidence of colorectal cancer and breast cancer. Chronic use of acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal drugs greatly reduces the risk of colorectal cancer and, to a slightly lesser extent, stomach and oesophageal cancers.
Here are some dietary recommendations that reduce the risk of oncological diseases:
- eating plenty of fruit and vegetables,
- eating as little processed cereal grains as possible,
- limiting the intake of fat and red meat,
- adjusting calorie intake and exercise to a level that maintains body weight,
- avoiding salt, preserved products and alcohol.

Skin cancers
The number of skin cancer patients has increased in recent years , so overexposure of the skin to sunlight and tanning with UV-emitting lamps should be avoided. It is advisable to use cosmetics and protective filters that block UVB and UVA radiation.
