Young Polish women visit the gynaecologist too rarely - alarm specialists. Regular visits can detect early changes and treat them effectively.

Using the same example, one can compare the question of choosing a female gynaecologist or a male gynaecologist. Here again, opinions are divided. My acquaintances are also divided - those who examine themselves with men fiercely defend their doctors, claiming that they are gentle, kind and answer all questions comprehensively.

Female patients of gynaecologists stand up for their female doctors, claiming that no one can understand a woman like another woman. When going to a woman, they feel less embarrassed, more open and confident. There are also declarations that they would never go to men because they would feel uncomfortable.

As you can see, voices are divided - one thing is certain - regardless of gender, there are doctors who are competent, gentle and those who do not treat their female patients well.

Women also point to the problem of getting to specialists. The waiting time for an appointment depends on where you live. In some cities, the wait is one month, in others two weeks. Women living in rural areas are in the worst situation - there is often only one doctor at the health centre, so appointments are far away, plus there is the embarrassment of 'everyone knows each other'.

At the doctor 's appointment, the most common tests (apart from the basic examination) are cervical cancer screening tests. These are cytological examinations of smears from the outer mouth of the canal and from the cervical disc.
