Healthy and active summer holidays

Beautiful weather outside. The hot sun is tempting you to get out of the house. However, one is immediately reminded of a number of things that were supposed to be done yesterday. Tough luck, maybe tomorrow will be nice too.

Time for a change

Once again in front of the mirror, I look at my body with a look of distaste on my face. I know full well that I need to work on myself. How many times have I promised myself that? A lot, really...

In any case, I'm hoping that summer will help me with this. I invariably associate it with bike rides, swimming pools and long walks. So how do I organise my active leisure?

Take up the challenge

Let's start with the simplest form: walking. It has the most advantages. No special equipment is needed, it can be practised anytime, preferably in pleasant company. No sports outfit is required; a dress and flip-flops will do just fine. The walk burns between 100 and 120 kcal. As long as you don't stop for a delicious ice cream on the way. If this is not enough, you can opt for walking or marching.

Here, we should take care to wear sports shoes. An interesting form is the recently popular Nordic walking. Get the right poles and get to work. Although the sport seems very simple, it turns out that it activates as much as 90% of our body muscles. During an hour's walk, the body burns up to 400 kcal, more than during a run.

How about a bike?

An attractive way of spending time outdoors is cycling. There are many models available on the market which are designed to optimally meet our expectations. At the same time, you can explore the immediate surroundings. It is enough to plan a trip in such a way that it includes interesting objects and places. It is also a good way for the family to spend some time together.
