Pregnancy is a beautiful time in a woman's life. Expecting and then welcoming a little human being into the world changes everything. However, in addition to life changes, it often also brings with it changes to a woman's body and appearance. After giving birth, it is worth getting down to business quickly - the later the start, the longer the wait for satisfactory results.

During pregnancy, the body changes dramatically. The first thing a woman notices, apart from the larger breasts, is the increase in weight. In addition to this, the amount of stored body fat increases - on the one hand the metabolism changes, on the other hand this is the result of less activity and often the proverbial eating for two. It is time to stop believing that if we breastfeed - the body will naturally lose weight on its own. Nature is not so kind, so we have to take care of our own good looks and well-being ourselves.

During the nine months, a woman's body loses firmness, extra centimetres usually appear on the thighs and hips, stretch marks become a nightmare and the weight carried for several months turns out to be fatal for the back. All these less pleasant aspects of pregnancy can be combated, or at least minimised, with just a little regular exercise.

Walking should be a basic activity every day. Since they are recommended for children anyway, let's also use this time for our health. Instead of sitting on a nearby bench for a few tens of minutes, take longer and longer routes each day andincrease your pace.Running with a pushchair is also a sport increasingly popular among Polish women. If the weather and your child's mood allows it, go out twice a day," advises the expert.

Once you have forgotten the hardships of childbirth and your body has had enough rest, you can start exercising at home. Many of the gymnastic exercises can be done together with the baby, which not only allows you to find time for your own activity, but also helps the development of the baby, for whom watching the mother move will provide a stimulus comparable to colourful, jumping toys.

One of the lighter exercises that has good results is squats. If your health permits, you can do push-ups. Laying the baby on a blanket near the baby will provide additional stimulation - the mother's face coming and going will be ideal stimulation. In addition, the baby can be an additional load, e.g. during squats or while lifting him/her in a lying or standing position - a popular game that has a good effect on arm and back muscles," suggests Agnieszka Bajer-Ciszewska.
