For years, so-called cardiovascular causes have been ranked first in the mortality statistics of Poles. This is all the more important given that, in recent times, the greatest concern in society has been cancer, which often arises as a result of genetic mutations or simply for reasons beyond our control. Instead, we forget about a group of diseases that are caused by our lifestyle. Meanwhile, ischaemic heart disease (the most important cardiovascular cause) develops slowly and, if untreated, inevitably leads to dangerous complications, including heart attack.
