The human body and psyche are closely intertwined - elements of psychiatry therefore appear in literally every field of medicine. Transplantology is no exception. In fact, it turns out that mental health professionals can be useful both for people awaiting transplants, patients qualified for transplantation procedures and those who have already undergone a transplant. However, psychiatric help can be beneficial not only for the person receiving the organ, but also for the person who was the organ donor.
