Name-calling, telling untrue rumours or bullying and pushing - in theory, it would seem that bullying in childhood and adolescence, apart from the undoubted damage to the psyche, has no other negative consequences. In reality, however, there is a growing body of research showing that violence experienced in the early years of life has a negative impact on the entire course of life later on - its victims may suffer the consequences even in middle age.
