Parkinson's disease mainly affects older people, around the age of 60. However, there are cases before the age of 30 or after 70. It is a lifelong condition and, importantly, the symptoms of the disease get worse and worse with time. Initially, the symptoms are very subtle and delicate; over time, the patient becomes completely dependent on others. Rehabilitation plays a key role for people with Parkinson's disease.
